Rendezvous missions are multiplayer-cooperative challenges exclusive to Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP only). These missions are considered some of the most challenging content available for PvE. The information and guide found here focus on the missions that have been modified and adjusted for endgame-level gameplay in tandem with Tactics League’s PvP Patch.

📃Rendezvous – Important Tips

  • Rendezvous missions do not cost Gil, unlike Melee (PvP) mode.
  • Players can bring a combined party of 4 or 5 depending on the mission. The fewer the units, the greater the treasure chests which also dictate your mission’s Star Rating.
  • The Action Counter increases for every Act taken by both players and NPCs but is not a limited value.
  • Your KO’ed units will not count against your Star Rating as long as they are revived by the end of the mission.
  • Defeating more, if not all enemies will increase your Star Rating.
  • Items that are stolen or rented, thrown, or Katanas shattered from Iaido use will reset at the end of the mission. Note that in multi-part missions, these items are not reset on the next round/progress.
  • Characters that die/crystalize/treasurize in Rendezvous are not permanently lost.
  • HP/MP will not be restored during each round/progress in multi-part missions.
  • Bravery and Faith value changes will reset at the end of the mission.
  • Hidden items or traps do not exist in Rendezvous mode maps.
  • Only JP, not EXP or Level are permanently kept. Learning abilities from crystals carry over after the mission.
  • Arithmeticks are disabled.
  • Items caught with Sticky Fingers will be added to your inventory, but items thrown from another player will not.

✨Tactics League-Exclusive Rendezvous Mode Changes

These specific changes only apply when using the Tactics League save data and PvP Patch:

  • Missions are considered “endgame” instead of being originally based on the main story progression and party level.
  • Includes all of the changes from the PvP Patch, including balancing, Weapon Power standardization, item limitations, jobs and abilities unlocked, gear gender equality, and some skillset changes, such as the reworked Aim.
  • NPCs are all set to Level 99, with all generic units set to 60 Bravery and Faith.
  • Bosses and unique characters will have their own uniquely set Bravery and Faith.
  • Most NPCs have Protect/Shell gear to further their resilience.
  • NPCs are all assigned abilities and gear instead of being randomized.
  • NPCs will have a random zodiac sign, but because the Tactics League-defined party roster is all Serpentarius, there is always neutral compatibility.
