At least one of each katana by name must be in your inventory when using the corresponding Iaido skill (for example: to use Murasame, you must have at least 1 Murasame in your inventory to cast the ability).

There is a WeaponPower% chance of your katana breaking each time you use its Iaido. For example, Chirijiraden’s Weapon Power is 25, so it has a 25% chance each time it is cast for it to break in the inventory afterward.

All Iaido abilities have a 100% hit rate and the first range of an ability starts at the caster, making its abilities 2 range in distance.

Murasame’s healing will damage undead allies.

✨PvP Patch Changes:
Katana break rate is now a hardcoded 50% chance instead of WeaponPower% chance each time an Iaido ability is cast (except through Mime’s mimicry). Safeguard reduces the break chance to 25%.

Damaging Iaido formula has been changed from MA * PWR to (MA + PWR) / 2 * PA. This is to benefit Samurai as Power favors the damage more than Magick. This also means that Iaido is more favorable for physical jobs, though Magick is still a factor.

Many Iaido abilities now have a 19% chance to inflict a status.

Masamune now Bestows: Reflect, Regen instead of Haste, Regen to reduce the accessibility and speed of Haste.

Zanmato is a new Iaido and katana that increases all allies’ Bravery by 4.

Reaction

Bonecrusher (Trigger: attack within range of your weapon while HP critical) – Bravery% chance to counterattack with damage equal to your maximum HP.

Shirahadori (Trigger: physical attacks) – Decreases the hit percentage chance of an incoming physical attack by (baseChance – yourBravery). This ability can trigger from magic guns, bows, and crossbows despite the tooltip saying it cannot. This ability can only proc once per attack (so a dual-wield’s second hit is not subject to additional hit chance reduction). Shirahadori is not considered a form of evasion and can stack with other evasion modifiers.

✨PvP Patch Changes:
Bonecrusher (Trigger: Physical attacks within your weapon range) – Bravery% chance to counterattack equal to 50% of your maximum HP and no longer requires you to be in HP critical status. This ability still requires the attacker to be within your weapon range and the counterattack cannot be evaded, ignores mitigation, and does not use your weapon’s element/status infliction/ability cast.

Shirahadori (Trigger: Unevadable physical abilities) – Now sets the hit rate to a flat 60% (that is not affected by Bravery) of strictly unevadable physical abilities, such as Sanguine Sword, Shockwave, or Steal HP. This reaction no longer affects normal attacks, as this is specific towards character evasion.

Support

Equip Katana – Equip Katanas regardless of job.

Doublehand – Treat one-handed weapons as two-handed, increasing the damage by 2x when using the Attack command or Arts of War when there is not a valid target to rent.

✨PvP Patch Changes:
Equip Bludgeon (formerly Equip Katana) – Equip Rods, Staves, Flails, Books, and Knives, regardless of job.

Doublehand – Treats one-handed weapons as two-handed, increasing their damage by 60% when using the Attack command and additionally increases forced two-handed damage (Axes, Knight’s Swords, Fell Swords, Bows) by 43% when using the Attack command.

Movement

Swim – Can act in water at all depths. Can move through all water tiles at normal rate. Can enter water tiles of depth 4 or greater. All water tiles are treated as 1 Height.
